Search History: Starting Seeds, Lively vs. Baldoni, and Poshmark for Ballerinas
An unedited glimpse into the tabs open on my computer browser, and in my AHDH brain.
Happy weekend! I’ve always loved perusing other people’s roundups of links, fave things, highs-lows, etc. There’s just something about getting a glimpse into what people are digging, in an easy-to-browse bullet point format.
So, here are mine! A true unedited roundup of exactly the sites, shops, media, Substacks, and recipes I’ve been fixated on in the past days.
This week, we were planning our 2025 gardens, falling down the Blake Lively vs. Justin Baldoni rabbit hole, and killing it on the DIY latte front.
Hope you find something from these links to add to your open tabs!
Seeds, seeds, seeds. This is the year I get *serious* about my garden! I’ve been gardening in some capacity since I was little, but in the current dumpster fie that is America, I truly want, no need, to have my hands in the dirt and off of my phone as much as possible, while becoming a lil more self reliant. Groceries aren’t gonna get any cheaper, in case you missed it! So I stoked the eff UP on seeds and have never been more excited for spring. This site came highly recommended, and their selection and shipping is great!
This Poshmark for the ballet girlies. Fellow adult ballet dancers, did you know there’s a second hand site for dance wear? I did not until this week, and then promptly lost like 5 hours of my weekend to browsing this site which functions just like Poshmark but for leotards, legwarmers, and warmups. (I’m taking adult ballet classes these days, and loving it!)
This fantastic Substack post. I see Ballerina Farm, I click. I am a simple reader. Maybe it’s the significant overlap in our lives, the perfect encapsulation of the right’s vision for women and motherhood, the innate thin priviledge, I could go on and on. But when two of my fave writers team up for a deep dive into BF’s latest rebrand and move across the pond, I couldn’t read fast enough. What are your thoughts on the whole BF moving across the pond thing??
Libby. My mom’s been telling me for months now to get on Libby, and as I’m going all in on the no-buy, no-Amazon 2025, I finally did — and it’s kinda great. I especially loved the access to all magazines, and snagged Bon Appetit and The New Yorker.
These workouts. Listen, I’ve done a lil of everything under the sun when it comes to workouts. I always come back to weight lifting, for so many reasons. And the latest page I’ve been checking out for working inspo is this page — especially her full body dumbbell ones, which I’ve been working into my weekly split and really loving.
This simple brown sugar syrup for morning lattes. I’ve honestly been trying to kick my coffee shop habit for…an embarassingly long time, and I’m not sure why I’m only now mastering the thing that really makes a latte — the syrup. Anyway, this is delicious, so easy, and I may never again get a shaken espresso from Starbys when this is truly just as good.
Chani — specifically understanding my house placements of my rising sign. are you even a witchy bitch if you don’t love Chani? It’s the GOAT imo.
Alt Protein Careers. As a freelancer, I learned the hard way this year to alwayssss be pitching myself. I seek out plant-based and values-driven brands to work for, and have found this site super helpful in keeping tabs on the who’s who and what’s poppin’ in the alt protein space.
Idealist.org. Again, job hunting! It’s kinda hellish out there, IYKYK. This site rounds up jobs for idealistic, hence the name, do-gooder type orgs, and I find it gets much less traffic and posts jobs I don’t see anywhere else, like LinkedIn or Indeed.
Lenny and Larry’s cookie dupe. My fiance eats a Lenny and Larry’s literally every single day lately — they’re vegan and high protein and generally great, but I figured, correctly, I could make my own. Now I eat a cookie every day for breakfast, and suggest you join me in this life!
The news sucks, and I need to chase all the doom and gloom with celebrity hot goss at times. The whole Blake Lively vs. Justin Baldoni thing is *insane* and unfortunately I can’t get enough. Highly recommend this wildly amusing podcast’s deep dive on the whole mess.
Have a happy rest of your weekend!
